Wednesday Morning

I cant believe that we are here! Yesterday was the longest day of my life.... . but it was worth it. We ot picked up at the airport and it took about 40 minutes to get to where we are stayin. The nightlife here is truly incredible!!! I made a new friend outside last night, and everyone here is just so friendly! It was really hot last night, and i must say that its wierd to be sleeping inside of a huge net haha. Ellen and I were woken up at 7 by the 2 roosters that reside nextdoor, and we had to stand in a bucket while we showered! It was so funny, but we just finished breakfast (which ws wonerful) over at Herb's house, and the guys went to exchange some of the money and go to the pharmecy. Today we are going to go to the source of the Nile, then we're going to get some lunch, and have a little orientation before we have to go pick up Jaki around 7ish. I cant wait to see her!

R.I.P. Dirty Little Garden Lobster.....

Here's a fun story for you. Randi and I were playing Wii bowling in the basement, and my parents came home from dinner with some work people. We go upstairs to say hi and my mom turns to me and asks "Do you know why there is a lobster in our garden?" My first thought was that a neighbor put a ceramic lobster in the dirt as some sort of weird joke... you know, to see how long it took us to notice it or something..... but no. Apparantly there is some sort of REAL (but dead) crustacean on the side of the garage. So naturally, we have to grab the flashlight out of the closet and go investigate. Let's Get To Know Eachother......

I'm trying to blog more often, even if my life isnt as exciting as id like to be. That being said, I'm just going to post some things about myself if I dont have anything else to talk about. Safe Travels....

I wonder if anyone even still reads this or not. Oh well. For those of you who dont know, I was not able to go back to Uganda this summer. (Its really sad and im really upset about it) However, most of the team was able to! Andy, Kevin and Glenna went out there about a week ago and the rest of the team is leaving tonight around 9:30pm. I wish you all safe travels, and most of all, have fun! I want all of you to know that I am already saving for next years trip! I already have about $100! I know, I know, its nowhere near enough, but thats why im starting now. Not being able to go this summer made me realize how much I love it there, and I guess you can say that lit a fire under my ass to get moving!
